Seminar Objectives:

At the 90-day post-workshop assessment, participants will have:

  • Demonstrated (on the job) an understanding that the intuitive style of leadership (self-centered, directive) will only work in special circumstances and will have made noticeable improvement in working themselves toward a management leadership style (participatory, empowering)
  • Spent more time "leading and managing" and less time "doing"
  • Used the action planning process to plan and implement at least one important initiative that has a positive impact on business results
  • Used the decision-making technique on the job to arrive at sound decisions that have or will have a positive impact on business results
  • Demonstrated greater ability to function in teamwork situations

What Does Great Leadership Training Look Like?

Leadership comes in many different styles, shapes, and fashions. You may be a leader and not know it. Can you find leadership in your life and business? Do you know where to go to find the leadership that you are looking for?

When you see it do you know what you are looking at? I mean really your idea and your reality may be different. A long time ago I had people that I considered to be in leadership and I could not understand for the life of me why I could not duplicate what they were doing. They would tell me some things to look into or to implement for my business. They never explained the reasons why or explained how to use whatever it is that they were telling me about. I now have grown past that in my growth and know that they were not leaders.

Sometimes we are leaders and do not that we are leaders. The funny thing about this is that others see us differently than we see ourselves. Have you every lead a ball game, taught a class on something, lead a committee? All these are examples of leadership. Have you ever helped a friend out of a jam or talked them through a rough spot where they came out better because of you? Well then you are a leader.

When you look around your life and business do you see leaders? Can you identify leadership in others? When you need a leader do you have one to consult with? What would you do with a great leader in your life? Leadership is important because true leadership start within yourself and when you are able to bring others to do things that they did not want to do or did not think of doing, and then you have found leadership.

Have you been looking for leadership? What do you need it for? Many people look for years and never find what it is that they so truly desire to find. It is out there and there are people out ready to help you and teach you the things that you want to learn. First you must find leadership and second YOU must act on what has been taught. Part of good leadership is putting to good use what you learn.
