The Leadership Training Institute offers seminars that teach participants to confidently use proven methods of management leadership to lead people and help them plan, organize and control their work assignments. Workshop participants will also learn to use resources made available to them more effectively.

On-Site Classes: can be tailored to the needs of client organization and delivered on-site at time and location of client choice.

Seminar Objectives:

At the 90-day post-workshop assessment, participants will have:

  • Demonstrated (on the job) an understanding that the intuitive style of leadership (self-centered, directive) will only work in special circumstances and will have made noticeable improvement in working themselves toward a management leadership style (participatory, empowering)
  • Spent more time "leading and managing" and less time "doing"
  • Used the action planning process to plan and implement at least one important initiative that has a positive impact on business results
  • Used the decision-making technique on the job to arrive at sound decisions that have or will have a positive impact on business results
  • Demonstrated greater ability to function in teamwork situations
  • Developed and successfully used a system of control by exception

Business Management Training For Success in Entrepreneurship

To be successful as an entrepreneur, you need proper business management practices. Worldwide, only a fifth of all entrepreneurial ventures are successful - the main reason for this is poor business management practices. Although anyone, even those without training on business related fields, can be an entrepreneur, there is need for an understanding of basic business management practices.

Have A Strategy

For your entrepreneurial venture to successful, you must adopt a strategy. The strategy should act as a guide in all steps of establishing your venture and you should never deviate from it. Your strategy can borrow from strategies that have been tried and tested, but it should be customized to fit your specific situation and your preferences.

Have A Business Plan

Non entrepreneurial venture will succeed without a business plan. A business plan is a concretized version of your business idea and without one, you will do things haphazardly. Although you are the one to generate the business idea, you should consider having the business plan professionally written so that it can incorporate everything that is important in a start-up business.

Have Leadership And Communication Skills

If you do not have natural leadership and communication skills, you should search for ways to get the skills. Leadership skills can be sharpened by participating in social and other activities more and taking on a leadership role in such activities and communication skills can be sharpened by taking courses and practicing on those around you.

Treat Your Employees Well

If you mistreat your employees, they will not be loyal and they will not bring any constructive input into your venture. You should pay the employees well and you should even consider giving them share options in case the entrepreneurial venture is successful. You should seek their insight regularly and you should make them feel like part of one big family.

Have Good Money Management Skills

For the success of an entrepreneurial venture, there is need for good money management skills. These include reinvesting your profits back into the business, saving some of the profits, and diversifying your income. You should know when your reach your peak and you should consider selling the venture at that point and starting another or doing something else.
