Leadership Skills: The Making Of An Effective Leader
We were born to lead. An effective leader produces leadership. He or she never uses their authority to control other people or put a limit on them. They use their authority to release others into their own authority.
A leader that prevents you from growing is not a true leader. Effective leaders find joy when the people who follow them can now lead others. They know the true value of others, and that humans are off limit for domination. True leaders learn how to lead. They learn how to develop good character, which is a development of discipline. They know that character is developed through challenges. Learning to say no, when everyone is saying yes. We were not born great, we were born with greatness.
In becoming a leader, you must:
- Discover your purpose.
- Have a passion for your purpose.
- Earn the trust of others.
- Have the spirit of daring.
Effective leaders are willing to be different and rejected by the norm. They defy tradition and are always irritating. So learn to be yourself. You were born to do something that only you can do. You were born with a vision that you cannot shake. You become a leader when you realize who you are.
Know that you were created to dominate in your area of influence. However, you'll never dominate, until you first dominate yourself. Welcome to the process, and begin to develop into the leader that you were created to be.
